Happy Thanksgiving!!

Happy Thanksgiving!!! The LeRouax family has quite a bit to be thankful for.

  • After a not so picture perfect pregnancy we were blessed with a safe delivery and a beautiful happy and healthy baby girl. For that I give thanks.
  • My toddler is thriving and growing and learning new things everyday. He has shown no resentment to his sister and has nothing but love for her. For that I give thanks.
  • My husband has a steady job that pays him well and he is able to spend an enormous amount of time with his family. For that I give thanks.
  • I have a roof over my head and food on my table. For that I give thanks.
  • My family (and this includes all extended family as well) is in good health and they are stable in their lives. For that I give thanks.
  • We have an incredibly amazing support group in our parents and siblings. They are there for us always and have repeatedly put their lives on hold to be with us when needed. For that I give thanks.
I know there are many many more that have not been named and for all of those I give thanks.

God has blessed us generously this year and for that I give thanks!!!

Happy 6 week birthday Samantha!!!

So I cant believe that it has already been 6 weeks since Samantha came into this world and our lives. It seems like just yesterday I was in the hospital recovering from my c-section. She is changing so much that it makes me a little sad that she is getting bigger. She has definitely gained some weight (I will know exactly how much next week) and she has for sure gotten longer (she is actually filling up her sleepers now instead of being swallowed by them). I recently had to change out her newborn stuff to the 0-3 month clothes. She is holding up her head by herself and she is starting to talk to us a little bit. They grow so quickly!!! I admit I am a bit biased but she is just gorgeous!!! I am so looking forward to the next 6 weeks to see how she grows into her features and to know what she will really look like. :)

A few days old (you can tell her sleeper is big on her)

Today at 6 weeks old. She now has some chunk to her. If you look closely you can see the start of her fat rolls on her thighs :) I love me a chubby baby!!

Much more alert and loving her fingers :)

Lookie what I did :)

So for a while now I have been wanting to try my hand at bow making. So, I got online and started to google :) I found a tutorial that I was willing to try so I got some ribbon and alligator clips and all the supplies that I needed to give it a go. I was so thrilled with how it turned out and Derrek was relatively impressed too. :)

Here is a picture of Samantha modeling her new bow

a little more of a close up

I have also recently been all about flower bows too. My friend Jenny makes them and she has gotten me very excited about them. So when I went to Michaels the other day I looked at some of the flowers and found some pretty fall sunflowers on sale so I bought the stem of 4 flowers. Here is the final product of the sunflower bow. I was quite proud :)

Since I had 4 flowers I made 4 bows. Yes, I admit that last night I was a bow making fool :) But they are going to be donated to people that we love. One will go to Samantha's cousin Jacqueline and the other two will go to her friends Bekah and Evie. We hope that they will love their new flower bow as much as we do :)

Happy Halloween!!!

What a great Halloween the Lerouax clan had. At 4pm we went over to our friends The Rutledges new house for a little Halloween party. All the kids had a great time playing with each other. There were four families that gathered together for the event. The LeRouax's, the Rutledge's, the Smith's, and the Chapman's. We missed you Kyle family!! The kids played in the back yard for a while then we moved out to the front yard where the cul de sac got closed off and all the neighbors came out and we had snacks and pizza and the kids got to run around in the street (supervised of course). They had a blast playing together!! At about 7 pm we came home and had our friends the Thurston's over for some trick or treating in the neighborhood. While the men took the boys out the women stayed home to give out candy. The night started slow with the trick or treaters but thank goodness it picked up and we weren't left with a bundle of candy. Mason loved the trick or treating and came home with some yummy stuff. He got to eat three pieces of candy before bed last night :) I figured it was a special occasion so why not :) All in all we had so much fun and we are definitely looking forward to next year with a 3.5 yr old and a 1 yr old in the house.
