LeRouax Family Christmas

Christmas Day!!! Yay!!! Derrek and I were so excited to be celebrating Samantha's first and Mason's third christmas. So excited that WE were up before both kids. haha :) So in our hurry to intercept Mason upstairs and get a picture of him coming out of his room in the morning I completely forgot to take a picture of the tree with all the presents under it :( Bummer huh? I am so sad about it too b/c all the presents were wrapped in matching "santa" paper and I had made the cutest name tags for each child. Oh well, maybe you will get a view in some of the pictures that I post. Anywho, Derrek and I are up and sitting at the top of the stairs waiting for Mason to wake up and we hear him getting up in his bed and then we hear him say "oh santa!" Melt my heart!! It was so adorable. Then he comes tearing out of his room which looked like this

I have to admit I am so proud of this picture. I mean how cute is that? So we sit there and talk to him for a bit about how Santa came to see him and left him some goodies and we make our way down the stairs which looked like this

You may be asking what are they doing? This is daddy and Mason coming down the stairs choo choo style. haha. So as he gets downstairs and comes around the corner he goes straight to the toy that is 1. Put together already and 2. he asked Santa for, his TRAIN TABLE!!

He kept repeating "a choo choo train, a choo choo train." He then figured out that there were more presents under the tree for him and decided it would be fun to open all of those ones too.

In this picture you can see the wrapping paper and the cute name tags :)

The second gift he got to was the actual train set

Ofcourse this one had to be completely opened...

and set up for him to start playing.

He then continued on through the rest of his presents and had a blast!! Samantha slept through Mason's whole Christmas which turned out to be a good thing. We were able to fully concentrate on Mason and his gift opening. A little bit later after Samantha woke up she got her own christmas too.

Big brother watching Samantha open her presents

Decided she was being slow and took matters into his own hands :)

After all gifts were opened and breakfast was eaten Mamie came over to spend some time with the kids. She was a great help with Samantha who she managed to put into a milk coma.

The rest of the day was spent in pj's watching all our new movies. We had an amazing day and hope you did too.

Twas the night before christmas and before before christmas

On the 23rd we went over to my sister Ronnie's house for dinner and a gift exchange. We had a great time hanging out with them. Mason and my nephew Matthew play really well together and they are just so funny to watch. We were so glad to get to see them before christmas.

On the 24th we got all dressed up to go to the Children's Celebration service at church. It was great because it was all families and if the kids got loud it was okay since it was to be expected anyways. So we had to rush out of the house to get to church b/c we lost track of time and ran late so I didnt get to take any pictures before hand. Okay no big deal we will do it afterwards when we get home right? WRONG!! Here is what we got.

And here is why...

Thats right, before we left church I felt a bit of wetness on my arm. I pull my arm up to take a look and it was covered in BABY POOPIE!!! I could not believe it. She poopied here Christmas outfit. So unfortunately we have NO pictures of here looking all sweet and cute in her christmas dress. Initially I was devastated, but, my dreams of a picture of my two kids were not completely dashed (thank goodness). We got this one a bit later after all was cleaned up

I was so thrilled to get a picture of my two beautiful babies in their christmas pajamas :)
After our picture extravaganza Mason and I sat down and made cookies for Santa before it was time for him to go to bed.

We put them on our special Spode Cookies for Santa plate and put them under the tree so that Santa was sure not to miss them. It was a fun (and eventful) christmas eve. I hope that everyone had a great one.

Fun filled weekend Part 2...picture overload

This past weekend we traveled to Corpus Christi for an early Christmas celebration. We had the best time visiting with my family. First up on our weekend was a breakfast with my grandparents and my cousin Jessica. It was great to get to visit with them and I LOVE LOVE LOVED seeing them. My grandparents are the most wonderful people. I cherish them dearly and I am so glad that I have gotten to share my kids with them. While in CC this weekend we got our first photo shoot of them with Samantha.

After our breakfast we headed to the Texas State Aquarium with the kids. This was the first time that Mason had ever been there and it was a great day to go b/c it was EMPTY. We were able to take our time and see all the exhibits as many times as we wanted too. Mason had a blast!! He loved looking at all the fish. I have to admit that the Dolphins were by far my favorite.

Mason watching the sting rays. He really liked them and later on in our visit was even brave enough to reach into the water and pet one.

Both Mason and I loved this little guy. How cute is he? But as cute as he is, this little porcupine would not be so pleasant to touch.

He was in amazed by these big guys.

But, as shown below he loved looking at fish of all sizes.

Our favorite part of the visit. These animals are so beautiful. I could have sat in the underwater viewing area all day long. They put on a great show for us.

The last part of our visit in Corpus was the gift exchange with my sisters family. We always buy gifts for all the kids so that is who exchanged presents. They had a great time opening their presents and they all loved what they got.

Jacquelyn wearing part of her gift. I love these maraboo clips.

Samantha and her cousin Nathan. She is only 6 days older then he is but she is a bit shorter and chubbier. haha Aren't they so cute??

As you can see we had an amazing weekend. Merry Christmas!!!

Fun filled weekend

On Friday after we picked Mason up from school we set out on the road for College Station. Why you might ask? Well on HWY 6 as you are coming into CS there is a place called Santa's Wonderland. It is made up of millions of lights (literally) and we wanted to drive Mason through it because we knew he would love it. We let him jump to the front of the car and sit with mommy while we drove through and as expected he LOVED it. We also got to have dinner with Mamie in celebration of her birthday which had just passed. As an added bonus we got to visit with Uncle Mark and Aunt Macie. :) Uncle Mark has all sorts of fun "grown up" toys and let Mason play with them. On Saturday we left CS to head to Kenney, TX so that Paw Paw Tuck and Gigi Joy could finally meet baby Samantha. We had a great time and Mason and Samantha both enjoyed their visit with them.

Meeting the big man himself!

This evening we took Mason and Samantha to see Santa. You know that you live in Texas when you can go to a Bass Pro Shop store to see him. haha :) Anyways, I had been talking Santa up to Mason all day. Telling him that we were going to see him and he was going to sit on his lap. I told him that he was going to ask him what he wanted for christmas and to this Mason replied "presents". I said yes presents but what kind of presents? Since he didnt actually understand that question I sneakily planted a good answer into his head and told him that he should tell Santa that he wanted a choo choo train. Why a choo choo train you might ask? Because this IS one of the things that he is getting christmas. I know I am bad :) Anywho, Mason did a great job and did not get scared to sit on Santa's lap at all. He walked right up there and sat on his lap, talked to him for a bit and then took his picture. I was so proud of him for not being scared. The added plus to going to see Santa at Bass Pro Shop was that he got to look around at all the cool stuff in the store and he had a really good time. Thanks Santa for the fun memory.
