Happy 3rd Birthday Mason Tuck LeRouax!!!

On March 29, 2007 at 3:22 am Mason Tuck LeRouax came into this world and blessed our lives forever. He weighed it at 7 pounds even and was 20.5 inches long. I am not sure if all of you know this but Mason is not a native Texan (sniff sniff). He was born in Philadelphia, PA. He is our little yankee boy. No matter where he was born though we love this child dearly and thank god for him everyday. He is one of the two lights of our life.

Playtime together

I am very much looking forward to the day when the kids can play together. Little did I know that they already could. We (the kids and I) were outside the other day hanging out with daddy when I got the great idea to sit Samantha in the back of Mason's big dump truck. Okay so it wasn't a great idea but she was getting heavy and I needed an alternative for her for just a little while :) Anyways, I sat her in the back of the dump truck and Mason turns to me and asks "Push?" Thats right he wanted to push her. So I got up and stayed relatively close and let him push her around the playset. And there right before my eyes a 3 yr old was playing with a 6 month old.

yay!! lets ride brother!!

Lovingly looking at her brother

Hey, where did everybody go?

Fun, fun times in the backyard have just begun. We are very much looking forward to many more pictures of brother and sister playtime together.

Solid Food...well sort of

Now that Samantha is almost 6 months old (I am in shock just typing that haha) we decided that we would let her try some oatmeal. She was relatively indifferent about it. It was funny b/c when we first gave Mason a solid he knew exactly what to do when the spoon came towards him. Samantha, not so much. I had to touch the spoon to her mouth at first just to get her to open up. I am happy to say though that our girl is a quick study b/c by the end of the feeding she had figured it out. Here are some shots of her and her first food experience.

Getting ready for the big experience

Not good and not bad :)

I'm eating, whats it to ya?

All in all she did really well. I think we may just skip the oatmeal all together and start her on stage 1 foods after se officially turns 6 months. I am looking forward to seeing what she likes and dislikes :) Oh and her adorable bib is courtesy of my cousins. Isn't it cute? A heart melting moment

Yesterday I was getting dressed to get ready for a birthday party and my babies were on the bed together. I could hear them talking to each other which that in itself just melts my heart. When I walked out of the restroom this is what I saw

BE STILL MY HEART!!! It was just so adorable. I LOVE these two kids so much it makes my heart ache. I love Samantha for just being here and for the new thrill that she brings to our lives. I love to watch her and see her grow and I cant wait to see the woman that she will grow into. She is going to be BEAUTIFUL!!! Mason, oh how I love my Mason. He is the most amazing big brother. Never once has he ever told us to get rid of Samantha or to take her back or to throw her away. haha!! He tolerates her so well. He can be watching a movie and she can be screaming and it doesn't phase him a bit. He loves her and kisses her and he takes care of her. No joke!! Yesterday she was fussing and he looked at Derrek and said "Go daddy go help mantha." We couldnt believe how protective he was of her. Everytime I get him out of the car first he runs around to the other side and says "Mantha's turn." He is incredible!!! I have been so blessed with such a well adjusted, patient, loving child. I cant wait to see how awesome he is going to be as he gets older.

Here are a few extra shots I took after my heart melting moment

Mason smiling and saying cheese. We are going to have to work on this a bit :)

Gorgeous!!

Kisses!!

Little Girl, Giant Bow

The other day I dressed Samantha and to my amazement and dismay she did NOT have a bow to go with her outfit. So what did I do about this you may be asking? Well HELLO I made her a bow :) So here she is in all her glory with her giant bow that I absolutely love on her b/c it is so huge.

I know I am her mother and am 100% biased but MY GOODNESS she is beautiful!!!

Bragging on myself a little

Bragging on myself is not something I do often but I really am quite proud of myself for learning some of the things that I have in regard to my bow making. Click on the link to check it out. This is our creative blog.

Thanks for humoring me.

Children's Museum

Tuesday morning I took the kids to the Children's museum. We had nothing on the books for that day and since we became members and had not been yet I thought this would be the perfect outing for us. We had a great time (though I have to admit that this outing may be easier with daddy tagging along or with one of the kids (Samantha) staying home). Poor Samantha but maneuvering her stroller through some of those areas was a tight fit. Anyways, Mason had a blast walking through the exhibits and climbing in all the cars. Poor thing wanted so badly to climb the tower of power (or whatever its called) but you have to be 5 yrs old to do it. He my look older then his age but he does not quite pass for 5 yet. I KNOW he would of had no problem climbing it though. We then made our way tot he tot spot so that I could feed the baby and he has DEFINITELY grown out of that phase for sure. You could totally tell that he was older then all the little tots in there. BUT, they asked me if he was 3 yet and he isn't so they let us in. heehee All in all it was a fun time. Here are some shots from the day.

Here he is shopping in the little grocery store

Doing some buliding

Samantha looking around. We have been sitting her in her stroller like a big girl b/c she loves to look around and see everything that is happening around her.

Driving his hot rod

With the cow outside the tot spot area. He really wanted to sit on it but there is a little sign put up behind it that specifically says " Please do not sit on cow" haha

Birthday weekend in CC

Last weekend we went to CC (Corpus Christi) to celebrate many a birthday. My brother Joshua's birthday was Feb. 24th, my nephew Zachary's birthday was Feb. 26th, my brother Michael's birthday and my niece Jacquelyn's birthdays were March 2nd. Crazy huh? Well Zachary and Jacquelyn were both having birthday parties so we made the trek down to good ol CC for them. What a fun weekend we had. Saturday was Zachary's birthday party at the Ultimate Party zone. Here is a picture of him and Mason together in the giant blow up chair.

As you can see Mason has chocolate frosting all over his mouth. Those sure were yummy cupcakes :)

Sunday was Jacquelyn's tea party in tutu's. It was so cute! Here are the girls together.

Sorry its the wrong way but here is one of Samantha in her adorable outfit. I didn't have a tutu for her (shocking I know) so I went to gymboree and bought this onesie that had the tutu attached. Then I put her in baby legs so that she wouldn't get cold. Isn't she ADORABLE!!

We also got some good quality time with my parents and grandparents. Its always nice to get to spend time with them.

Here is Samantha with her GG-Ma and GG-Pa

Mason and GG-Pa

Mason and his PoPo Ne (my dad)

Thanks for the fun weekend family. We love ya'll and miss ya'll already. See ya'll in a week :)
