A 30th to remember post 1 of 2

Well I turned the big 3-0 on April 6th. And since I knew having a party was out of the question (little did I know huh) I decided that the next best thing would be to go out to dinner with some family and friends. Little did I know that this dinner was just a decoy for the real fun to happen on April 9th. Anywho, I was all excited that my birthday dinner was set for the evening of April 9th. The plan was to hit up Mi Luna (for tapas) in Rice village then to continue on to the Chocolate Bar. The best thing about this weekend was that my sister was going to have my niece's birthday party on the 10th so all of my family was coming into town and my sisters and mom got to make it to dinner too.

All the girls at dinner (sans my friend Rini who had to leave early BUT I was super glad that she made it out that night)

Me, Jenny and Robyn (these sneaky ladies were the brains behind the decoy dinner)

Me and my sisters and my cousin Jessica

Me and my mommy

At the chocolate bar with Robyn, Ashley and Sandi

We really did have a great time. Funny thing is I was the only one wearing a dress and everyone else had a good reason why they weren't :) Jenny started with "Well I was going to wear a skirt but I didnt like the way anything looked on my belly (she is preggo)" Then Robyn told me "I was going to wear one of my dresses but I haven't shaved my legs" hahaha! Truthfully I dont remember what Robyn told me but it could have been that :) Anyways in post #2 you will find out why everyone else was wearing pants. This "decoy" dinner was the perfect start to a ROCK STAR night so thanks to everyone who made it out. Lots of love to you all!!

A spoiler for an upcoming post

So I know I have been a slacker blogger lately and I apologize but I do have a super long post coming up soon. I just need to put the pics on my computer so that I can blog it. Most of you know that I just turned 30 and to my (big) surprise my hubby threw me the most amazing surprise 30th birthday party. That is what my next post will be about so keep an eye out to see all the crazy silly pics from the night. :)

Happy 4th Birthday Mason!!

Three short days ago our big boy turned 4!! I can't believe that my baby is 4 already but I am pretty sure I will say this every year until I am no longer on this earth :)

Anyway, this year Mason wanted his birthday party at Chuck E Cheese. Luckily Pearland just recently got a brand new Chuck E Cheese so we didnt have to go far for this birthday extravaganza. We had his party ON his actual birthday this year. This was the very first time that we were able to do this. His birthday fell on a Tuesday but this turned out to be PERFECT. Here is why:

1. He has never had a party on his ACTUAL birthday so that was super special
2. Chuck E Cheese on a weekday is FABULOUS b/c no one and I mean NO ONE is there.
3. None of his friends are in school on Tuesdays so everyone was able to come :)
4. Having a planned weekday activity is GOLD for any stay at home mom :)

His birthday day was full of fun activity's. For activity #1 we started our morning with some of my mom's group friends at Shipley's Donuts.

As you can see he was very excited to be there.

Activity #2 for the day was his birthday party at CEC.

My birthday boy

All his guests

A bunch of the boys getting rowdy

Mason calling out the big guy himself

And here is Chuck E crowning King Mason

Time for cake and the Happy Birthday song

I love this picture b/c he looks so happy

After cake he got a special birthday medal

Here he is admiring his bling

My super handsome birthday boy

Our family picture with the big man himself sans Samantha. She was not a big fan of CEC.

After blowign out candles and singing Mason was prepped to get into the ticket blaster

I was worried this would scare him but he did awesome and was not scared at all.

By the time we got home he was super excited to see his stash. A big Thanks to everyone who came out to make Mason's party so wonderful!

Activity #3 was cupcakes with his baseball team after practice but in all my excitement I forgot to get a picture of it so on to activity #4.

Dinner at Chic Fil A! Second only to CEC is "chic a lay" (as mason calls it). So to finish out his super fun birthday day we took him there for dinner after his baseball practice.

With this whole day said and done I think it is safe to say that my not so baby boy had an AMAZING 4th birthday. Not quite sure how we will de any better next year but I guess the challenge is on :)

Happy Birthday Mason Tuck!!! Your daddy and I love you more then you know.
