My favorite season and a Bunco

Its FOOTBALL SEASON BABY!!! One of my favorite times of the year!! My husband is not a huge fan b/c it means he has to fend for himself on Saturday's but I absolutely 100% L.O.V.E it!! Let me clarify though that I love COLLEGE football NOT NFL football and in this house win or lose we are AGGIE FANS!!!! We love us some Texas A&M Football!!! WHOOP!!!

As luck would have it (or maybe its b/c I specifically planned it this way ;) ) I hosted BUNCO in September right as this amazing season got started, so in true over the top college football fan fashion the theme was a TAILGATE!! Everyone wore their team colors and left with a door hangar favor that represented their team of choice. I know I'm a bit biased as the hostess but I think that it is safe to say that everyone had a BLAST!!

Labor day!! A holiday that use to be celebrated as the LAST of the summer before school started now gets the shaft b/c school starts before it can even arrive these days. BUT that didn't stop us from taking advantage of the long weekend and heading out to Galveston with some extended family!! We sent summer out with a bang this year and the kids loved every minute of it!!

Revival of the SmitheRouax's

Back in August Derrek and I took a long weekend to Fredericksburg, TX with our couple BFF's the Smiths!! This was a BIG deal b/c our dear friends left Pearland 3 yrs ago and moved to Round Rock! We dont get to see them very often but when we do we are always able to jump right in where we left off like no time has passed at all. Before they moved, The Smith family and the LeRouax family would always take a small yearly vaca together. We called these events our SmitheRouax vacations!! This long weekend was the revival of our SmitheRouax vacations and it was FANTASTIC!! Definitely looking forward to continuing on with this super fun tradition!!

Primer for Disney

Well I must brag for a bit and let everyone know that I FINALLY convinced my husband to take the kids to DISNEY!! SO EXCITED!!! I have been convinced that Samantha is the perfect age for it and I got my confirmation in this small little Disney primer. Jake and Sophia came to Sugar Land and put on a little show (and I do mean little) BUT, boy was it worth it to see the excitement on Samantha's face when she discovered they were "real"!! This is going to make our trip to Disney in 2015 all the sweeter!!

We love us some lake time

One of our last family adventures of the summer was a long weekend at Uncle Wesley's house!! He moved to Conroe earlier this year and is currently renting right on the LAKE!! Which of course means that we get some super duper fun lake time!! The kids were excited to go and hang out with their Uncle and they got to experience some firsts on the water like the jet ski and tubing! Both of course were a HUGE HIT!! Thank you Uncle Wesley for putting up with us and letting us take over your home :)

Oh how I love hosting a party

One of my best friends from college recently got married and I hosted a bridal shower for her back in July!! Oh how I love a party with a theme, or color scheme!! Pink, grey and chevrons OH MY!! The maid of honor took care of all the food and I got the honor of pulling together all the decorations (my favorite part). It was a fun event celebrating a super fun girl!!
